Azulejos were originally white and blue ceramic tiles popularised in the 15th century when they came to Portugal after King Manuel I ordered his own palace be decorated with them. Now, Azulejos come in all different colours and patterns.
 
In this game, you assume the job of a tile-laying artist, hired to embellish the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora. Players take it in turns to draft decorative tiles from suppliers and then score points for completing certain patterns and sets, but any surplus azulejos will come at a detriment to the artist.
