There is an island home to a race of ancient, wise and fierce cats which has been located by scouts from Squall's End. Though it appears the island is under threat by approaching armies and this amazing race must be saved before their home is destroyed.
 
The Isle of Cats Duel is a 2 player tile placement strategy game. In the game you take on the role of citizens of Squall's End who have took to the sees to rescue as many cats from the island as possible. Over the course of the game you must explore the island, rescue cats, gather ancient treasures and find a way to fit them all on the boat before returning home.

During the game as you explore the island you will find new treasures and cats. The treasures and cats are represented by tiles of different shapes that must be carefully placed onto your boat. As you place items on the boat you will be trying to keep families together and complete lessons whilst leaving enough room to place the next items on the boat. You will need to be strategic with your placement as you do not want to return to Squall's End with only half a filled boat.
 
At the end of the game players score points for the cat families they have kept together and any lessons they have completed. They will lose points for each visible rat on the boat and any rooms on the boat that are not filled in. The player with the most points is then crowned the winner.
