Head to the moon and develop a permanent base that is being built in the Shackleton Crater on the south pole of the Moon.
 
Shackleton Base is a strategic worker placement game that enables space exploration by taking actions to complete specific objectives. At the beginning of every game three corporations are chosen at random with each one offering new projects, actions and scoring mechanics that will effect your game making every game different. The game is played over three round with each players turns split into three phases; the Shuttle phase, the Action phase and the Maintenance phase. 
 
During the Shuttle phase of the game you will be drafting a Shuttle tile from the display to choose which type of astronauts and resources you will receive that round as well as the turn order for the next phase. You then move onto the Action phase where players take turns placing out their astronauts to complete various actions like collecting resources, building structures and funding projects. In the Maintenance phase you will assign the astronauts you placed in the Action phase to work on structures, players then collect income and pay maintenance costs.
 
The game ends after the third round is completed. Points are then tallied up, the player with the most points is the winner.
