Take a step back in time to 16th century Venice where influencial merchants ride gondolas up and down the city's canals. These merchants trained their assistants, completed contracts and leveraged their influence to gain political power.
 
Venice is a strategic board game where players will move their two gondolas around the board to take actions. When a gondola passes one of your assistants you may activate that assistants ability though if you end your move at a space with one of your assistants you can train and upgrade their abilities.
 
Assistants are a great way for you to gain resources, trade goods, make money and much more in the game depending on the buildings they have been assigned to.  You will want to be able to make resource to place in your gondolas so you can complete important contracts you have collected.
 
Though as you grow your business people will begin to talk and as you pass other merchants on the tight city canals gossip will spread raising the suspicion of the Inquisition. You will need to choose to either lower your suspicion by visiting and donating to the church and academic institution or you can throw caution to the wind engaging in unsavoury activities for money and information. Being a well known merchant can be a boon to your political career but if you are the one with to much suspicion at game end the Inquisition will make an example of you. So you must balance your business and reputation wisely.
